TL;DR
Cyber Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Providing cyber assurance for information assets, technologies, applications, systems, infrastructure, and processes with an accent on security risk assessment, cloud security, and regulatory compliance. Focus on monitoring cyber threats, supporting incident management, defining security requirements, and assessing third-party and systems integration risks.
Location: Bellshill, Scotland, United Kingdom; Workplace: On-site. Working pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, alternating between 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am.

What you will do
- Provide cyber assurance across information assets, applications, systems, infrastructure, and operational processes.
- Identify, evaluate, report, and help mitigate cybersecurity risks and threats.
- Define information security requirements with project, operations, vendors, and wider IS teams.
- Research security solutions for complex application and systems integrations.
- Support the design, development, operation, monitoring, and improvement of security tools, services, and incident management processes.
- Support regulatory compliance, governance controls, and second-line assurance activities covering confidentiality, integrity, availability, privacy, and recovery.
Requirements
- Experience with cybersecurity tools including SIEM, EDR, and NIDS technologies.
- Experience supporting cloud-focused security solutions and understanding current cyber threats.
- Strong cybersecurity experience, relevant industry certifications such as CySA+ or Security+, and risk management knowledge.
- Understanding of data security, governance requirements, and suitable security controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, execution, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience with cybersecurity KPI monitoring and delivery.
- Experience engaging third-party security specialists for additional assurance.
- Understanding of the NIST CSF and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
