OT Network Security Engineer

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Glasgow, Dundee, or Aberdeen, UK

What you will do

• Design and implement secure OT network architectures, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
• Develop network segmentation between IT, OT, and safety-critical environments.
• Configure VLANs, routing, and access control policies to ensure secure connectivity.
• Support network migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure refresh programs.
• Produce technical documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, and firewall rule sets.
• Provide technical consultancy to customers on OT network security and resilience.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise and industrial networking.
• Proficiency in managing next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or Check Point).
• Experience designing OT network segmentation and industrial DMZs.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols, VLANs, routing, switching, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with network testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience within OT, industrial, energy, utilities, or CNI environments.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as IEC 62443, Purdue Model, NCSC CAF, or NIST.
