Senior Cyber Security Network Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with two days per week at the Osterley office; right to work in the UK required

What you will do

• Develop and implement cyber security strategies protecting organisational data, systems, and enterprise networks.
• Monitor network activity, investigate suspicious behaviour and breaches, and respond to security incidents.
• Design, implement, and improve firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption tools, and other network security controls.
• Manage Network Access Control, authentication and authorisation rules, endpoint posture policies, and guest access.
• Produce security reports, technical documentation, policies, procedures, and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams, customers, and partners while maintaining compliance with security standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise-scale network security solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with firewalls, WAFs, load balancers, VPNs, NAC, routers, switches, network segmentation, proxies, and packet analysis.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, DNS, DHCP, NTP, VLANs, NAT, operating system hardening, and vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux, and network devices.
• Experience with security monitoring, logging, alerting, threat detection, incident investigation, EDR, anti-malware, vulnerability management, encryption, and threat intelligence.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, shell scripting, Terraform, Ansible, SIEM/SOAR platforms, cloud networking and security across AWS, Azure, or GCP, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Appropriate right to work in the UK required; visa sponsorship is not available. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GIAC/SANS, CCNP Security, or CCIE Security are expected or equivalent experience is required.
