3rd Line Network & Security Specialist - 24x7 Shift (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fully onsite in Derby, United Kingdom, at a secure customer facility with no home working. The role follows a 24x7 shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off, working 7:00–19:00 shifts.

What you will do

• Provide third-line technical support and subject matter expertise across network and security technologies.
• Detect, respond to, and resolve complex security incidents, problems, and operational changes.
• Lead high-priority and major security or network incidents through resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Coordinate with customer representatives, vendors, designers, and wider support teams to troubleshoot and fault-find.
• Act as the operational point of contact for design and customer contract teams.
• Produce root-cause analyses and contribute to post-incident reviews.

Requirements

• Operational experience in network engineering and security operations specialist roles.
• Experience supporting complex network solutions directly onsite with customers and managing stakeholders.
• Experience with Cisco firewalls, Check Point firewalls and IPS, F5 load balancing, Cisco WSA, ESA and ISE, Ivanti Pulse VPN, switches, and routers.
• Ability to lead complex incidents, coordinate incident calls, and drive resolution within SLAs.
• Eligibility to ohirify.globalain and maintain Government Security Clearance at SC UK Eyes Only level is required; future DV clearance may also be required.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow reporting and dashboarding experience.
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls and NetScout.
• Experience managing multiple incidents as the lead.
