Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: London, hybrid; work from home is available on Mondays and Fridays, with in-person collaboration on other weekdays.

What you will do

• Shape product problems with product managers and engineers, clearly defining user needs.
• Run user research and usability testing, turning findings into actionable themes.
• Analyze funnel and analytics data to identify confusing flows, unclear value propositions, and potential customer harm.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, edge cases, and intentional error states.
• Apply the design system and brand guidelines while identifying inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with engineers throughout the design process, write detailed specifications, maintain accurate Figma files, and use AI to accelerate research, analysis, and production.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product design experience, including work on mobile applications.
• Customer-centric approach with strong problem-framing and discovery skills.
• Experience exploring multiple design directions and converging on effective solutions.
• Daily use of AI tools as part of the design workflow.
• Understanding of accessibility, including WCAG AA, and fair customer outcomes.
• Strong feedback, collaboration, and communication skills for working with product and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or a startup environment.
• Experience with UX writing.
• Experience mentoring designers or helping grow a design team.

Hiring process
