Registered Nurse Vascular Access Team Part Time Days or Evenings (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Provide individualized, age-specific nursing care from admission or point of care through discharge.
• Assess, document, and organize patient health data while identifying immediate care needs.
• Develop, maintain, and evaluate individualized plans of care and measurable patient outcomes.
• Provide evidence-based patient and family education and coordinate discharge planning.
• Collaborate with patients, families, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Make referrals and communicate patient progress to support continuity of care.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• BSN required; ADN candidates must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Competence with PICC lines, ports, and IV skills is strongly preferred.
• External ADN candidates are not currently being considered for RN openings at Palos Hospital; internal ADN candidates may apply.
