Corporate Controller (CFO Succession Track)

Location: On-site in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States

Salary: $150,000 annual base salary, plus performance bonus and executive benefits.

hirify.global is hiring for a rapidly growing food distribution company with manufacturing operations.

What you will do

• Oversee corporate accounting, ledgers, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage standard costing, bills of materials, yield analysis, plant costing, and inventory valuation across manufacturing facilities.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts that account for commodity pricing fluctuations.
• Maintain internal controls, safeguard assets, and coordinate external audits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
• Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on capital allocation, strategic planning, M&A due diligence, board presentations, and CFO succession preparation.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Experience in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, inventory control, financial reporting, and manufacturing ERP modules such as SAP, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with food safety compliance reporting.
• Exceptional leadership capability, executive presence, and interest in progressing to a CFO role.
