Controller (SaaS)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: $130,000–$150,000 annually; on-target earnings: $140,000–$165,000 USD.

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and deliver accurate financial reporting.
• Direct and scale the accounting function, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, cash flow forecasting, banking, and treasury operations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, tax requirements, and internal controls.
• Lead annual audits and maintain relationships with external auditors.
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and accounting systems implementation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience at a venture-backed SaaS company, preferably Series A through C.
• CPA required; Big 4 or national firm experience strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise in GAAP, ASC 606, and SaaS subscription business models.
• Experience managing external audits, implementing internal controls, and improving processes.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Salesforce, Ramp, and Excel, plus strong communication and team leadership skills.
