Registered Nurse (Occupational Health)

Location: Onsite Health Center in Blue Springs, Mississippi, United States. As-needed night shift, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM.

What you will do

• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within the scope of practice.
• Provide evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinate case management with the TPA and client.
• Manage occupational health evaluations, screenings, medical tests, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Implement transitional duty and return-to-work programs and support accident investigations.
• Administer medications and emergency care, maintain medical equipment, and follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain accurate health records and collaborate on health promotion, injury prevention, and workplace safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, or ambulatory care.
• Experience with workplace hazard mitigation, health screenings and education, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work exams.
• ACLS may be required depending on the contract scope of services.

Nice to have

• Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification, including COHN or COHN-S.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
