What you will do

• Define and evolve enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, principles, and standards aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient high-level and detailed solution architectures across commercial lending and core banking systems.
• Lead technology strategy and evaluation for platforms supporting origination, underwriting, servicing, portfolio management, treasury, collateral, and customer relationship management.
• Provide architecture governance and oversight throughout delivery, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and successful execution of high-impact initiatives.
• Partner with senior business leaders, product owners, engineering teams, vendors, and external service providers.
• Prepare architecture assessments, gap analyses, reference architectures, roadmaps, and executive-level presentations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, or technology leadership, including 3+ years supporting commercial lending technology within a financial institution.
• At least 7 years of experience developing and integrating applications using software architecture principles and patterns.
• Strong knowledge of commercial banking products, including commercial loans, lines of credit, leveraged finance, syndications, leases, equipment finance, and asset-based lending.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman, architecture modeling, governance, and technology roadmaps.
• Knowledge of cloud, microservices, APIs, data platforms, integration patterns, cybersecurity, data privacy, data governance, and analytics enablement.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or a combined minimum of 11 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial lending and adjacent platforms such as nCino, AFS, Bottomline, Salesforce, Moody’s, FIS, PrecisionLender, Jack Henry, or Abrigo.
• Knowledge of AI, generative AI, machine learning, intelligent document processing, and workflow automation in banking.
• Experience driving innovation, evaluating vendors, and working in Agile, DevOps, or product-centric delivery models.
