Senior AI Tech Architect (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Design end-to-end architectures for financial services environments, including core systems, channels, payments, and external networks.
• Architect secure, scalable, resilient transactional platforms with strong availability, integrity, reconciliation, and regulatory controls.
• Integrate heterogeneous financial systems and external partners through API- and event-driven patterns, REST APIs, ISO 20022, and ISO 8583.
• Assess and modernize legacy financial services landscapes through platform migrations, vendor transitions, and cloud adoption.
• Lead feasibility studies, proofs of concept, technical assessments, architecture reviews, and implementation work packages.
• Partner with senior client stakeholders, communicate complex technical concepts, mentor teams, and support proposals and project scoping.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of technology consulting or software engineering experience, including more than 1 year in IT or business architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, computer science, information systems, systems controls and engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services such as banking, payments, capital markets, or insurance, including regulated or transaction-intensive environments.
• Expertise in one or more areas including cloud architecture, APIs and microservices, databases, data platforms, AI and GenAI architecture, application modernization, mainframes, DevOps, or AIOps.
• Ability to work across product, engineering, risk, compliance, and operations and explain complex technology topics to senior executives.
• Business-fluent written and spoken English, willingness to travel, and proven fluency with GenAI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, including response validation.
