Senior Director, Advanced Consulting Group (Life Insurance)

Location: Fully remote within the lower 48 U.S. states. Candidates in Columbus, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; or Scottsdale, Arizona collaborate in the office three days per week. Frequent travel within the assigned region is required.

National salary range: $170,000–$318,000 annually. Expected starting salary range: $170,000–$284,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead strategy and execution for the Life Advanced Consulting Group across distribution channels.
• Provide consultative case design and product positioning for complex, high-value life insurance cases.
• Serve as the senior liaison to Life distribution and refine intake, triage, delivery, and relationship-management processes.
• Develop advanced education, presentations, sales plays, marketing assets, articles, and technical materials.
• Own performance metrics, governance, risk controls, compliance coordination, and process improvement.
• Lead and develop a team of three to four Directors while building technical talent and future leaders.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in advanced life insurance planning, including complex high-net-worth or institutional cases.
• Eight to ten years of industry experience and a demonstrated record of leading high-performing consulting or advanced sales teams.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a Juris Doctorate focused on tax, estate planning, or business planning is relevant.
• FINRA Series 24/26 license required; FINRA Series 6 and 26 must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of sophisticated tax and regulatory issues, sales distribution, and advanced financial products.
• Ability to work within the lower 48 U.S. states; selected locations require office collaboration three days per week.

Nice to have

• CPA, CLU, or ChFC certification.
• Experience presenting sophisticated concepts to large and diverse audiences.
• Experience using data, technology, and AI-enabled tools in advanced planning.
