Location: Onsite at the St. Catharines Propulsion Plant, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, on a full-time basis

Salary: CAD 97,800–146,600 per year

What you will do

  • Coordinate facility and plant engineering activities and projects across a 2,300,000-square-foot, 158-acre propulsion plant.
  • Plan and execute facility projects, including requirements, schedules, cost estimates, tendering, contractor selection, commissioning, and delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements covering occupational health and safety, air quality, work at heights, pressure equipment, and welding.
  • Coordinate safety and performance-standard committees covering fall hazards, facility safety management, fire and explosion control, indoor air quality, and process ventilation.
  • Manage energy meetings, savings initiatives, and implementation as the 4000 Account Champion.
  • Support workspace transformation, tenant needs, service-provider safety performance, facility operations, maintenance, energy supply, cleanliness, environmental compliance, and material handling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline; equivalent technical education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Eight or more years of experience in plant facilities, industrial utilities, building systems, maintenance engineering, construction engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing facility projects involving contractors, consultants, suppliers, budgets, schedules, and commissioning.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utility, building, or civil systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, equipment documentation, bills of material, and construction deliverables.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices, including hazard assessment, lockout/tagout, contractor safety, confined-space controls, and safe work permitting.
