Mechanical Engineer

Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; onsite work includes visiting end users to analyze product problems and perform installations

Salary: CAD 80,000–100,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical support on product types, construction materials, and designs to sales teams.
• Train sales teams and customers on relevant products and applications.
• Analyze product designs and prepare application documentation.
• Review manufacturing drawings and verify designs against operating conditions, technical literature, and engineering calculations.
• Investigate product failures, prepare failure reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assemble and test products, and support onsite product installation and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar technical role within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical seals, compressors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• High computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CAD software such as Solid Edge.
• Working toward a P.Eng. designation is preferred.
