Location: Full-time, on-site position in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Requires 12.5-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, plus 24-hour on-call availability.
Salary: $64,000–$88,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do
- Monitor and analyze real-time performance, alarms, operating conditions, and data integrity across utility operating assets.
- Identify abnormal conditions, determine root causes, and coordinate remedial actions to maximize equipment availability and production.
- Operate multiple power plants in accordance with regulatory requirements, interconnection obligations, contracts, and plant-specific procedures.
- Coordinate with field operations teams, site managers, technicians, scheduling coordinators, transmission operators, and reliability entities.
- Document plant status, downtime, operating instructions, telemetry issues, and remote-control impacts.
- Support project commissioning by coordinating test-energy scheduling and compliant power plant operations.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in operations, solar or wind field technician work, or a related electrical environment is preferred.
- Experience operating electrical and SCADA systems, with competent knowledge of plant and system processes.
- Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, coordinate multiple activities, and make decisions in high-stress conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to handle difficult customer situations.
- GED or high school diploma.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and 24-hour on-call duty.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree, formal operations apprenticeship training, or equivalent experience.
- Control room experience.
- Knowledge of functional system interactions and critical details in complex, regulated environments.
