Senior Broadcast Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week required in the Hammersmith London office; trackside work during race weeks.

Salary: £65,000–£75,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the technical and operational delivery of the multi-language production ecosystem across seven language feeds.
• Act as the central technical anchor for production teams during race weeks and support the primary host broadcast team.
• Manage, allocate, and troubleshoot trackside technical resources while maintaining workflow redundancy in live environments.
• Plan technical requirements for future race locations and lead initiatives involving HDR workflows, enhanced audio, and automated Team Radio transcription.
• Lead technology deployment for the hirify.global Test Programme.
• Mentor junior technology team members and align trackside engineering with central production operations.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in live broadcast engineering.
• Experience delivering high-profile global host broadcasts, unilateral operations at major events, and complex multi-language, multi-feed productions.
• Deep expertise in live broadcast infrastructure, REMI or centralized workflows, and trackside engineering setups.
• Strong real-time troubleshooting skills and the ability to maintain redundancy in high-stress live environments.
• Experience scoping venue requirements and integrating advanced tools such as HDR, immersive audio, and AI transcription.
• Adaptability, resilience, commitment to execution quality, collaboration, and a proactive mentoring approach.
