Graduate Radio Frequency (RF) Electrical Engineer

Location: Newport, United Kingdom; the role is based at the Celtic Lakes facility and may include shift patterns in the manufacturing cleanroom.

What you will do

• Design and construct prototype electronics and RF hardware for CVD, PVD, or Etch product teams.
• Develop RF plasma delivery systems, generators, matching units, transformers, filters, and RF electrode circuitry.
• Work on DC bias handling, isolation and filter circuits, and PCB design packages.
• Perform electromagnetic and radio frequency modelling.
• Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers, and RF diagnostic probes.
• Participate in shift patterns when required to support cleanroom manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Minimum BSc or BEng degree, with a minimum 2:1, in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or physics.
• Understanding of analogue electronics and electronic circuits.
• Awareness of RF and microwave principles.
• Interest in control systems, instrumentation, semiconductor technologies, and their applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or previous study experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Familiarity with software tools and Microsoft Office applications.
