Audio Engineer (Guarantee Level)

Location: Deployed across UK client projects, with attendance at Gemini House, Bracknell required for preparation and base operations when needed. Travel and varied schedules are essential.

What you will do

• Lead audio delivery for assigned outside broadcasts and live productions from preparation and testing through live transmission.
• Configure and operate professional broadcast audio systems, consoles, stageboxes, routing, monitoring, and communications equipment.
• Work with Dante, AES67, SMPTE ST 2110-30, IP-based, hybrid, and remote production environments.
• Interpret client and production requirements and develop robust technical solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical faults under live-production pressure.
• Collaborate with Vision, VT, Camera, Engineering, and Production teams while mentoring less experienced audio engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Audio Engineer in outside broadcast, live production, or a comparable broadcast environment.
• Strong knowledge of professional broadcast audio workflows, signal flow, routing, and complex audio systems.
• Experience with broadcast consoles, audio networking, communications, intercom, and monitoring systems.
• Advanced fault-finding, troubleshooting, planning, and organisational skills, with the ability to remain decisive under pressure.
• Clear communication with clients, production teams, and engineers, plus a collaborative approach to sharing knowledge.
• Flexibility to travel, work varied schedules, and attend the Bracknell base when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Calrec, Lawo, Riedel, RTS, or Yamaha systems.
• Experience supporting system upgrades, technical improvements, and new production workflows.
