TL;DR
Business Controller (EdTech): Preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports, and profitability analyses to support data-driven decisions across a European learning business with an accent on financial planning, business partnering, and reporting accuracy. Focus on interpreting financial performance, improving controlling processes and analytical tools, and building actionable recommendations from large volumes of data.
Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with two days per week in the office

What you will do
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial plans, management reports, analyses, and presentations.
- Monitor financial performance and explain variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders to track KPIs, identify risks and opportunities, and analyze profitability across products, customers, projects, and distribution channels.
- Support working capital, cash flow, fixed-asset, period-end closing, consolidation, and recurring reporting activities.
- Improve controlling and reporting processes, tools, data quality, business cases, and financial evaluations while collaborating with finance, accounting, business teams, and auditors.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in business or financial controlling, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- University degree in management accounting, finance and accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Good command of English, written and spoken.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and process-improvement skills, with confidence working with large volumes of data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Nice to have
- ACCA or CIMA qualification completed or in progress.
- Experience with ERP, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
