Logistics Controller

Location: Hybrid, based at either the Aberdeen or Wallingford office in the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day logistics and customs activities across designated UK business areas and sites.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, transactions, licences, guarantees, and regulatory arrangements.
• Provide guidance on logistics best practices, customs requirements, and international freight movements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing customs and logistics compliance.
• Manage freight forwarders and logistics service providers, including performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimise operations and reduce third-party costs while supporting logistics personnel.

Requirements

• Significant experience in freight logistics and customs operations.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics compliance.
• Experience managing third-party logistics providers and contractor performance.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation requirements across land, air, and sea.
• Advanced IT skills with logistics systems, databases, and spreadsheets, plus a full driving licence.

• Forklift certification.
