Specialist Project Engineer – Offshore Island Project (Oil & Gas): Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and deliverables for offshore oil and gas projects with an accent on FEED oversight, contractor coordination, stakeholder interfaces, and compliance with technical, schedule, cost, HSE, and quality requirements. Focus on reviewing engineering documentation, resolving interface challenges, monitoring project progress, and supporting HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, risk, and change management activities.
Location: Based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with relocation to the Spain office and a subsequent return to Abu Dhabi.

What you will do
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities during the execute phase of an offshore oil and gas project.
- Monitor engineering deliverables across process, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and HSE disciplines.
- Review and coordinate EPC contractor engineering activities, technical documents, vendor assessments, and bid evaluations.
- Track engineering progress, schedules, milestones, risks, deviations, and costs with project controls and planning teams.
- Manage interfaces between engineering disciplines, project packages, ADNOC Offshore, contractors, and third-party stakeholders.
- Support technical reviews, engineering changes, risk mitigation, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, HSE, and QA/QC activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of overall experience in the oil and gas sector, including 5–7 years in offshore execute or detailed engineering projects.
- 12–15+ years of experience in oil and gas project engineering.
- Experience with process, storage, and export facilities relevant to offshore island projects.
- Experience in project management consultancy or ADNOC Offshore projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in Abu Dhabi, relocate to the Spain office, and return to Abu Dhabi.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- Previous PMC or ADNOC Offshore project experience.
