Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite factory-floor role. Schedule: Saturday–Monday, 6:00 am–6:30 pm.
Salary: $27–$34 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do
- Review questionable and non-conforming materials on the factory floor and disposition them using defect libraries, reference images, and standard criteria.
- Troubleshoot process problems and SPC out-of-control or out-of-specification events using response flow checklists.
- Support root cause investigations by gathering data, running checks, documenting observations, and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain defect libraries, response flows, work instructions, certifications, and other controlled process documentation.
- Execute engineering runs on manufacturing equipment, monitor trials, and collect and summarize sample measurement data.
- Identify safety and quality concerns and support continuous-improvement projects with manufacturing engineers.
Requirements
- Associate degree in engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent manufacturing or technical experience; high school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a manufacturing, cleanroom, or production environment; semiconductor experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with SPC concepts, including out-of-control and out-of-specification conditions.
- Ability to visually inspect and measure materials consistently while following work instructions, response flows, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong documentation, technical writing, problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on alongside engineers on the factory floor with a strong safety and accountability mindset.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience in semiconductor or precision-materials manufacturing.
- Experience with defect review, material disposition, or quality inspection.
- Working knowledge of SPC charts, control limits, 5 Whys, or fishbone analysis.
- Experience with engineering runs, design of experiments, metrology, or sample measurements.
