Process Technician III (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite cleanroom role

Salary: $29.00–$39.60 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare wafers, clean and set up reactors, and operate laboratory process equipment for thin-film experiments.
• Prepare cross-section samples and operate scanning electron microscopes for CD, EDS, cross-section, and top-view analysis.
• Identify patterns of interest, optimize imaging and sample preparation conditions, and evaluate image quality.
• Record process conditions and experimental observations, then prepare graphs and tables summarizing wafer and thin-film results.
• Perform SEM software alignment, routine maintenance, flash and plasma cleaning, equipment shutdowns, and experiment setup.
• Coordinate with requestors, vendors, purchasing, and repair teams while monitoring wafer-in-process throughput.

Requirements

• Technical diploma.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of scanning electron microscope principles.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom using required personal protective equipment and to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, climb stairs and ladders, work at height, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work with electricity, noise, and routine physical demands including bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
