Robot Service Technician (Robotics)

Location: Onsite in Fairfield, Connecticut; the commitment section states that the position is available to candidates local to Miami, Florida. Remote work and relocation are not available. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

hirify.global is a U.S.-based autonomous vehicle startup developing and operating autonomous cars and delivery robots.

What you will do

• Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and mechanical and electrical robot components.
• Install, configure, and replace LiDAR, camera, and ultrasonic sensors.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose failures, investigate incidents, and repair robot systems.
• Test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including suspension and battery components.
• Support deployment, testing, validation, and field operations at local sites.
• Manage inventory and equipment, document service findings, and support rapid hardware prototyping.

Requirements

• Experience using mechanical and electrical tools and measuring equipment.
• Experience assembling and disassembling electrical and electromechanical systems and integrating custom electronic modules.
• Ability to read 2D mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of AC/DC electrical systems and safe working practices.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to work in workshop and field environments.
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more, with strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive service, vehicle retrofitting, manufacturing, electric vehicles, robotics, or autonomous systems.
• Soldering, wire crimping, diagnostic tools, and general computer proficiency.

Culture & Benefits

• Full-time, 40-hour-per-week ongoing contract with a typical Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.
• Some earlier, later, or weekend hours may be required based on business needs.
