TL;DR
Graduate Process Engineer (Gas Infrastructure): Supporting the design, delivery, commissioning, and operational support of gas infrastructure projects with an accent on process design, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and process safety. Focus on developing PFDs and P&IDs, performing process simulations, assessing hazards, and contributing to hydrogen, biomethane, LNG, and carbon capture projects.

What you will do

  • Support process design activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept development and feasibility through detailed design, commissioning, and operational support.
  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, heat and mass balances, process narratives, and operating philosophies.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and process simulations, and support the sizing of valves, regulators, relief systems, heat exchangers, filters, separators, and metering systems.
  • Contribute to gas infrastructure projects involving transmission, compression, LNG, gas receiving terminals, biomethane, hydrogen, and future energy systems.
  • Participate in HAZID workshops, HAZOP studies, design risk assessments, process safety reviews, commissioning, and performance testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation and work with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and equipment suppliers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
  • Strong IT, analytical, numerical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Availability to start full-time work by December 2026 at the latest.
  • Commitment and motivation to complete the two-year graduate programme.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with process simulation tools.
  • Industrial placement experience.
  • Knowledge of gas processing systems.
  • Interest in energy transition technologies.
