Student Placement - Process Scientist/Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide technical support for packaging solid dose oral pharmaceutical products.
• Assist with process improvements, validation, sampling, and annual product and cleaning reviews.
• Contribute to equipment performance reviews, selection, installation, and testing.
• Investigate packaging issues and atypical laboratory results, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assess supplier changes and support new product introductions through technical assessments and project work.
• Maintain GMP compliance, complete required training, and report product safety or quality concerns.

Requirements

• Currently studying toward a STEM degree and seeking a 12-month placement during the third or penultimate year, with a return to the course afterward.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to attend the Cramlington manufacturing site for the placement and assessment centre.
• No relocation support is provided.
