Graduate Process Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Newport, United Kingdom; office-based work with international customer travel across Europe, Asia, and the USA.

What you will do

• Develop and demonstrate CVD, PVD, or Etch processes to meet agreed specifications.
• Support project teams developing semiconductor products for next-generation customer designs.
• Assess process results using analytical laboratory equipment and software tools.
• Investigate faults and troubleshoot process solutions in-house and in the field.
• Communicate progress and results to product marketing, process teams, customers, and colleagues through reports and presentations.
• Research relevant published work and prepare technical reports for patent applications, conferences, and seminars.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree at 2:1 level in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
• BSc or BEng qualification.
• Logical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work some shift patterns and travel internationally.
• Full training is provided; prior experience is not required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or previous study experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and MATLAB.
