Student Placement - Process Scientist/Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide technical support for manufacturing and packaging solid dose oral products.
• Assist with process improvements, validations, sampling activities, and annual product and cleaning reviews.
• Contribute to equipment performance reviews, selection, installation, and testing.
• Investigate issues arising from manufacturing, packaging, and laboratory results.
• Assess supplier changes and support new product introductions through technical assessments and project work.
• Maintain GMP compliance, complete required training, and report product safety or quality concerns.

Requirements

• Currently studying toward a STEM degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Available for a 12-month placement during the third or penultimate year of study, returning to the course afterward.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Relocation is not provided; the role is based on-site in Cramlington.
