Windows System Administrator (Senior-Level)

Location: Adelphi, Maryland, USA; non-remote, on-site position. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, secure, and optimize Windows Server infrastructure in enterprise and classified environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, enterprise authentication, and MECM/SCCM.
• Develop PowerShell automation, perform patching and software deployments, and maintain system configurations.
• Implement STIGs, security hardening, vulnerability remediation, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex hardware, software, operating system, and network issues, and support incident response.
• Provide Tier III escalation support, technical leadership, documentation, and modernization support for Army Research Laboratory systems.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance are required.
• On-site work in Adelphi, Maryland is required.
• IAT Level II certification or higher under DoD 8570/8140 requirements, such as Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with seven years of relevant experience, or ten years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Extensive Windows Server administration experience, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, MECM/SCCM, patching, and configuration management.
• Experience with STIG compliance, security hardening, PowerShell, vulnerability remediation, DoD cybersecurity policies, and technical stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Microsoft, Azure, cloud, virtualization, backup, or disaster recovery certifications and experience.
• Experience supporting Army, DoD, federal government, classified, or secure research environments.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture, automation frameworks, systems orchestration, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior administrators.
