Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Peterborough, United Kingdom; onsite role with a 24/7 12-hour shift pattern.

Salary: £51,144.19–£60,112.57 per year, including shift allowance, depending on experience and knowledge.

What you will do

• Maintain and develop the availability and uptime of facility production equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, equipment calibration, and breakdown response.
• Work with Production and Engineering departments to maintain equipment availability.
• Investigate machine-related quality issues and document daily issues for handover.
• Create and follow risk assessments and ensure safe working practices.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3, time-served apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with PLC systems, fault finding, and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic machine control systems.
• Mechanical experience with machinery and equipment, including motors and gearboxes.
• Ability to read electrical, fluid-system, and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience with conveyor maintenance, Siemens S7, Fanuc robots, or manufacturing environments.
• Recognised forklift or MEWP licence.
