Facilities Electrical or Mechanical Technician (Facilities Engineering Specialist)

Location: Springtown, Derry/Londonderry, United Kingdom. Full-time onsite work on 12-hour day and night shifts.

Global manufacturer of hard disk drives and storage solutions operating a high-tech manufacturing site in Northern Ireland.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems.
• Monitor plant operations and maintain compliance with critical process parameters.
• Diagnose and repair unplanned equipment failures to restore plant services and equipment availability.
• Support engineering projects that improve system capability and reliability, including annual factory shutdowns.
• Record maintenance activities in maintenance software and provide updates to the Facilities Technician Manager.
• Supervise contractors and service providers while following health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in operations and maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnosis.
• Minimum Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, equivalent professional qualification, or time-served experience in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Strong communication, teamwork, work ethic, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Availability for full-time onsite 12-hour shifts covering both days and nights.
• The role does not qualify for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship; sponsorship cannot be offered.

Nice to have

• Industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with HVAC, chillers, high-voltage distribution, instrumentation and controls.
• Experience with Trend Control Systems and building management systems.
