Mobile Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and six-monthly planned preventive maintenance tasks and inspections in line with SFG20 requirements.
• Maintain and document mechanical and electrical plant services, including HVAC, boilers, pumps, AHUs, heat exchangers, FCUs, ventilation, chilled water, and LTHW systems.
• Communicate with client site engineering teams and produce weekly activity and planning reports for the FM supervisor.
• Oversee contractors and subcontractor visits, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, method statements, QHSE permits, security protocols, and site procedures.
• Manage client service requests, statutory maintenance records, audits, SOPs, emergency response, and SLA requirements.
• Participate in technical training, competency assessments, scenario exercises, and out-of-hours site call-outs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial mechanical maintenance, preferably in a data centre or similar clean-room production environment.
• Advanced Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, or an equivalent qualification.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, BMS controls, boilers, pumps, UPS, standby power, and lifts.
• Strong fault diagnosis, project management, multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage a personal schedule, and meet agreed standards and timescales with minimal supervision.
• Full UK driving licence required.

• C&G Air Source Heat Pump Systems qualification (2924).
• C&G F GAS and ODS Regulations qualification (2079).
• IPAF, PASMA, or other access-related qualifications.
