Technical Lead (AWS/Terraform)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; hybrid with 2 days on site

What you will do

• Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Manage GitHub-based version control and CI/CD workflows for customer applications.
• Lead infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, and observability improvements.
• Oversee cloud security, compliance, cost optimisation, capacity planning, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customer operations teams.
• Shape platform architecture, proofs of concept, product roadmap, engineering growth, and innovation as the platform matures.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and Terraform.
• AWS certifications are essential.
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Experience designing and maintaining highly available, scalable cloud systems.
• Strong communication skills and experience working as an embedded member of a customer's technical organisation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in aviation, aerospace, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code best practices and GitOps workflows.
• Awareness of the advantages of AI.
