Technical Lead (Salesforce)

Location: London; 50% hybrid working model, averaging two to three days onsite.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction and architecture for the Marketing & Commercial Data capability.
• Guide the evolution from Bloomreach, Marketo and legacy Salesforce Marketing Cloud platforms towards Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Data 360.
• Set engineering standards covering security, resilience, scalability, observability, maintainability and supportability.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentor engineers and encourage technical ownership.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Programme, Data and business stakeholders on roadmaps, trade-offs, risks and dependencies.
• Lead technical decision-making during incidents and ensure operational improvements and technical debt remain visible.

Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience with complex production systems, platforms or enterprise technology.
• Experience providing technical leadership across engineering teams or significant technology capabilities.
• Strong architectural judgement and experience making significant technical decisions.
• Understanding of secure, resilient, scalable and maintainable systems, operational excellence and observability.
• Experience managing technical debt, architectural risk, technology lifecycles and cross-system dependencies.
• Experience working with engineers and stakeholders across technical and non-technical disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Data 360, customer data platforms or marketing technology.
• Experience leading significant platform or technology transformations.
• Experience with complex integration architectures or enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
