Delivery & Business Operations Director - Football (Sports Technology)

What you will do

• Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring delivery against agreed business outcomes.
• Establish and lead the Football PMO, including delivery governance, reporting, accountability, and portfolio management.
• Own delivery planning, prioritisation, pipeline management, budgets, risks, and executive visibility across major programmes.
• Lead customer implementations, technology deployments, strategic initiatives, and business-critical programmes.
• Build, coach, and develop Project Managers, Programme Managers, and Technology Delivery Managers.
• Partner with Commercial, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Global PMO to deliver and transition new technologies into live operation.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in sports technology, enterprise technology, or similarly complex operational environments.
• Proven experience delivering complex technical programmes at scale.
• Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, influencing, problem-solving, judgement, and decision-making skills.
• Experience leading, developing, and motivating high-performing delivery teams.
• Ability to anticipate issues, prioritise effectively, drive outcomes, and operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in sports data, officiating technology, or large-scale technology services.
• Understanding of end-to-end technology delivery from product development through operational deployment.
• Knowledge of cross-functional operations across Product, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and PMO.
