Senior Engineering Manager (AI Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, California

Estimated base salary: $240,000–$275,000 per year, plus equity.

hirify.global is building an AI operating system for healthcare covering clinical documentation, intelligent patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous revenue cycle management.

What you will do

• Manage and grow a team of 6–8 engineers from early-career to Senior Staff level, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Set the roadmap with the product partner for financial reporting, analytics, and customer-built reporting workflows.
• Own financial correctness through parity harnesses, cross-report tie-outs, drift monitoring, and correctness SLOs.
• Lead multi-quarter migrations from legacy report logic to a drift-free ledger and modern OLAP layer while maintaining customer book-closing workflows.
• Work directly with comptrollers, CFOs, and RCM directors to translate financial requirements and escalations into product improvements.
• Coordinate execution with payments and posting, data infrastructure, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years managing software engineers, including senior- and staff-level individual contributors.
• Production experience with financial, reporting, or data-intensive systems where numerical correctness is critical.
• Strong backend and data fluency, including query-plan review, ledger design, and debugging parity failures.
• Experience setting product direction and defining a multi-quarter roadmap.
• Operational discipline with on-call, SLOs, and monitoring for correctness and availability.
• Ability to work with CFOs and other financial stakeholders on reporting and reconciliation requirements.

Nice to have

• Healthcare revenue cycle management, billing, practice management, clearinghouse, or fintech experience.
• Experience with OLAP stores such as StarRocks, ClickHouse, or Druid alongside PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of double-entry accounting, append-only ledgers, or audit-trail requirements.
• Experience leading platform re-architecture while keeping an existing system in production.
• Experience shipping LLM features, including AI-powered reporting tools.
