Engineer, Metering (Oil and Gas): Planning and supervising maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and reliability activities for plant instrumentation and control systems at an Abu Dhabi PMC project with an accent on HSE, operational integrity, and maintenance planning. Focus on root cause analysis, CMMS data quality, contractor coordination, control-system performance, and safe execution in a large industrial environment.
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite PMC project

What you will do
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate preventive, breakdown, shutdown, and routine maintenance for plant instrumentation and control systems.
- Support equipment testing, troubleshooting, surveillance, startup, commissioning, and critical field maintenance activities.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, spares, workloads, backlogs, and maintenance work plans.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and unplanned shutdowns, and implement reliability improvements.
- Review technical requirements, engineering documentation, materials, contractor performance, and new project implementation.
- Maintain HSECES job plans and CMMS data in Maximo, conduct internal PM audits, and support HSE and risk-management activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 12 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering and maintenance in a plant environment, preferably oil and gas.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and control-system testing, repair, calibration, troubleshooting, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of CMMS platforms such as SAP or Maximo, engineering drawings, specifications, datasheets, and international industry standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, planning, scheduling, coordination, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HSE procedures, process safety, hazard identification, risk analysis, permit to work, and safe work practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with MEGA EPC projects.
- Experience in a large industrial organization and oil and gas operations.
