Data Science Supervisor (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid role based in Dearborn, Michigan, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: $115,500–$218,100 annually.

What you will do

• Lead software developers and data scientists building diagnostic and vehicle quality analytics products.
• Guide anomaly-detection models using diagnostic trouble codes, Data Identifiers, and CAN signal data.
• Shape the analytics product roadmap by connecting stakeholder needs, vehicle quality priorities, data insights, and technical opportunities.
• Oversee Angular dashboards and scalable end-to-end ML pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Drive model validation, performance monitoring, MLOps, and continuous product improvement.
• Partner with product, quality, and engineering stakeholders while managing priorities, resources, risks, and delivery timelines.

Requirements

• Hybrid work in Dearborn, Michigan, United States; legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, software engineering, analytics, or a related technical field, including technical team leadership.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, including DTCs, DIDs, and CAN bus signal data.
• Experience with Python, AI and machine learning methods, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch, end-to-end ML pipelines, GCP, Docker, Git, testing, and code review.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular or another modern front-end framework for dashboards and data visualization.
• Automotive industry experience, especially in vehicle quality, diagnostics, or connected-vehicle data.
• Experience with anomaly detection for time-series, sensor, or signal data.
• Experience with MLOps, Generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, or NLP.
