TL;DR
IT Business Analyst (Data Lake) (SQL/Data Management): Defining and implementing requirements for a governed data lake that ensures data availability, quality, lineage, privacy, and regulatory compliance with an accent on data modeling, technical specifications, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on designing conceptual and logical data models, structuring data sources, creating functional testing scenarios, and maintaining metadata and data-governance controls.
Location: Bucharest, Romania (Dacia One); flexible work from home or the office

What you will do
- Gather and clarify requirements with stakeholders from Financial Insights, Direct Products, Service and Operations, and KYC.
- Develop conceptual and logical data models and support engineers in translating them into physical models.
- Write detailed specifications for sourcing and structuring data in the data lake.
- Create testing scenarios and participate in functional testing.
- Define and maintain requirements for data quality, lineage, privacy, security, lifecycle management, and metadata.
- Align data lake implementation with target architecture and contribute to process automation and improved collaboration.
Requirements
- Strong conceptual, analytical, communication, and requirements-gathering skills.
- Hands-on SQL experience with medium-complexity queries and a good understanding of database concepts.
- Experience writing technical and functional specifications.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Advanced English proficiency required.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related field is advantageous.
Nice to have
- Banking or financial institution experience, especially Credit Risk and Credit Risk modelling.
- Knowledge of dimensional data modelling, data warehouses, and data management.
- Experience with data quality, lineage, security, privacy, lifecycle management, issue remediation, and other data-governance practices.
- Knowledge of finance, Credit Risk, regulatory processes, and operational risk.
