Data Center Technician (AI/HPC)

Location: Onsite at a customer data center in Columbus, Georgia, United States; 24x7 shift rotations and a weekly on-call rotation are required.

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 base pay per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Evaluate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize high-density GPU servers, AI accelerators, and specialized AI/HPC hardware.
• Diagnose complex server, network, and HPC cluster issues and own solutions through resolution.
• Manage high-value AI/HPC assets and RMA processes while improving operational workflows.
• Remediate physical-layer network outages involving InfiniBand and optical cabling.
• Assess risks and recommend corrective actions during power, HVAC, and liquid-cooling events.
• Develop SOPs, improve operational strategy, and automate routine diagnostic tasks.

Requirements

• Experience independently analyzing and solving complex data center or IT infrastructure problems.
• Specialized knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment; AI/HPC experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to take ownership of solutions, assess risks and impacts, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and influence decisions across engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Excellent English communication skills are required for explaining technical guidance, risks, and recommendations.
• Availability for 24x7 shift rotations and weekly on-call coverage is required.

Nice to have

• NCA-AIIO, CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNP certification.
• Experience with AI/HPC environments.
