Electric Distribution Engineer, Associate

Location: Rocklin, California, United States. Hybrid schedule with remote work and attendance at the assigned work location three days per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Annual salary: $99,936–$150,108.

What you will do

• Develop short-term and long-term recommendations for distribution capacity, reliability, reconstruction, and corrective-action projects.
• Perform distribution planning studies, model electrical systems, analyze historical loads and future growth, and identify area deficiencies.
• Prepare switching plans, project documentation, equipment settings, circuit protection reviews, and recommendations for distribution projects.
• Evaluate new large-customer load requests, voltage and power-factor requirements, equipment capabilities, and primary designs.
• Support reliability initiatives, root-cause meetings, outage prevention, customer voltage investigations, and emergency restoration efforts.
• Prepare economic analyses and maintain distribution equipment records.

Requirements

• BSEE, MSEE, or PhD in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent international qualification.
• Entry-level engineering profile with knowledge of electrical engineering principles and theory.
• Basic knowledge of power systems.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Rocklin-based arrangement.

• Python scripting experience.
