What you will do

• Partner with the State Manager and leadership team to improve EBIT, optimise the balance sheet, and deliver business objectives.
• Analyse financial, commercial, and operational performance drivers and provide clear advice and constructive challenge.
• Support strategy, planning, capex and other investment decisions, commercial opportunities, and operational priorities.
• Strengthen financial controls, commercial governance, and risk management practices.
• Build relationships across sales, operations, finance, and other functions to improve end-to-end business performance.
• Lead business improvement initiatives and identify better ways of working, innovation opportunities, and relevant technologies.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Extensive finance and commercial experience within a complex business.
• Ability to identify operational and commercial factors shaping performance beyond financial data.
• Proven ability to influence strategy and business decisions.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex financial and commercial information to varied stakeholders.
• Confidence navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and organisational boundaries.
