Lab Engineering Power Technician (Voltage Regulator Testing)

Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, or Phoenix, Arizona, United States

Salary: $63,090–$118,630 annual target compensation for an hourly role in the United States.

What you will do

• Perform technical validation and testing of voltage regulators and other power solutions.
• Conduct operational testing and fault isolation to identify nonstandard system and equipment issues.
• Complete platform rework, including soldering, component replacement, and package rework.
• Use oscilloscopes, probes, multimeters, and function generators for advanced testing.
• Read schematics and board layout databases, maintain lab equipment and calibration records, and track parts and platforms.
• Prepare engineering reports and communicate findings to engineers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a similar technical discipline.
• At least 6 months of experience with platform rework, soldering, and component replacement.
• At least 6 months of experience using oscilloscopes, probes, digital multimeters, and function generators.
• Experience reading schematics and board layout databases.
• Experience with routine lab maintenance, equipment calibration, and parts or platform tracking.

• Hands-on experience testing voltage regulators.
• Excel proficiency for data tracking and analysis.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronic design.
• Python or C++ programming skills for automation and data analysis.
