Test Engineering Intern, MS - Summer 2027 (Semiconductor)

Expected base pay: $30–$61 per hour

What you will do

• Test features on semiconductor chips for internal and external customers and identify underperforming units.
• Verify code and test programs across large numbers of individual parts.
• Replicate unexpected results on test benches and perform correlation exercises with design and verification teams.
• Develop new testing code and strategies when chip capabilities exceed existing test equipment.
• Support new product introduction activities, including silicon bring-up, qualification, characterization, and production test programs.
• Optimize test time and yield while collaborating with design, marketing, program management, quality assurance, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Basic understanding of hardware products, PCBs, electronics manufacturing, or product development processes.
• Ability to organize technical information, summarize data, and communicate clearly.
• Comfort working in a multidisciplinary team and learning from engineers across multiple regions.
• Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled technology and software under applicable U.S. regulations.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience in electronics, circuits, embedded systems, manufacturing, or mechanical design.
