Electronics Test Engineer (All Levels)

Location: Onsite in Pullman, Washington, or Lewiston, Idaho, United States

Salary: $84,200–$124,500 per year for Associate Test Engineer; $97,700–$144,400 per year for Test Engineer; $115,300–$170,400 per year for Lead Test Engineer.

What you will do

• Develop test strategies, test plans, procedures, and automation for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers on Design for Test to ensure products are testable and manufacturable.
• Design, develop, and maintain board-level and functional test systems, including flying-probe, bed-of-nails, and automated test stations.
• Design hardware and instrumentation, validate test fixtures, and troubleshoot test failures.
• Analyze test data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate new test technologies and continuously improve test performance, coverage, and production processes.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuits, and hands-on problem solving.
• Interest or experience in test system development, scripting, and instrumentation design.
• Clear communication and effective teamwork.
• Lead-level candidates should have experience developing production electronics test systems and leading or mentoring engineers or technicians.
• Lead-level candidates should also have experience with automation, instrumentation, circuit analysis, and strong analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Design for Test practices in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of power systems protection products.
• Experience with flying-probe, bed-of-nails, or functional test systems.
• Firmware development experience for embedded test or self-test applications.
• Programming experience with Python, C, or similar languages.
