Technical Recruiter (Engineering)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; primarily onsite

What you will do

• Own sourcing and outreach for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering roles.
• Build candidate pipelines through LinkedIn, direct outreach, referrals, universities, and technical communities.
• Review applications and conduct initial recruiter screens.
• Partner directly with engineering hiring managers to define technical hiring needs and candidate profiles.
• Keep candidates moving through interviews and maintain clear communication.
• Improve sourcing strategies, recruiting processes, and candidate quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an engineering, science, or other technical degree is preferred.
• At least one year of experience at a venture-backed startup at Series B or earlier.
• Strong experience sourcing and recruiting Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineers.
• Proven ability to identify and engage passive technical candidates through direct outreach.
• Experience working with technical hiring managers, strong judgment, and confidence to challenge hiring assumptions.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. ITAR-related work requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required government authorizations.
