Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (with RNFA) (Surgical Oncology)

Location: Warrenville Cancer Center, Delnor Cancer Center, Central DuPage Hospital, and Delnor Hospital in Warrenville, Illinois. Monday–Friday day shift with Saturday morning call/rounding required.

Salary: $61.00–$79.67 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide ambulatory and inpatient clinical care for surgical oncology patients, with potential operating-room coverage.
• Conduct health histories, physical examinations, comprehensive assessments, and follow-up evaluations.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, medications, therapies, and procedures within clinical privileges.
• Educate patients and families, document care, coordinate referrals, and consult with physicians and other disciplines.
• Support staff education, mentor students, and serve as a preceptor and clinical role model.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, committees, and specialty education initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
• Current Illinois licensure is required: RN/APRN licensure and national APRN certification for APRN candidates, or Illinois Physician Assistant licensure for PA candidates.
• Acute care certification is required for APRNs; inpatient NP experience may be accepted instead.
• First Assist Certification is required for all APRNs.
• Credentialing and privileging through the hirify.global Medical Staff Office, plus BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Three to five years of advanced practice provider experience is preferred; controlled substance licensure and a DEA number may be pursued after licensure.
