Lead Analog IC Design Engineer (SerDes)

Annual salary: $119,000–$221,000, plus possible incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits from initial concept and specification through final verification.
• Develop CMOS SerDes and high-speed I/O integrated circuits.
• Design SerDes blocks including transmitters, receivers, serializers, deserializers, phase interpolators, PLLs, clock-distribution circuits, bias circuits, and voltage regulators.
• Apply jitter and signal-equalization techniques to meet customer requirements.
• Use CAD tools for circuit simulation, layout, and physical verification.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate design findings clearly.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience designing CMOS SerDes or high-speed I/O integrated circuits.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
• Experience with most of the specified SerDes circuit blocks.
• Good understanding of jitter and signal-equalization techniques.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for circuit simulation, layout, and physical verification.
• Strong problem-solving, analog design, written communication, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of common SerDes standards and their electrical requirements.
• Experience with hirify.global design tools and laboratory testing.
• Experience designing at data rates above 10 Gbps and in process technologies below 28 nm.
