What you will do

• Complete layout and verification of high-performance mixed-signal CMOS integrated circuits.
• Work with design and circuit engineers to create topological layouts and optimize circuit performance.
• Design analog and mixed-signal layouts using device matching, signal conditioning, and protection techniques.
• Plan and integrate layouts, including block assembly, block-level routing, and chip top-level routing with assisted or automated tools.
• Identify and resolve layout design issues, including LVS troubleshooting and debugging.
• Collaborate with engineering teams through clear written and verbal communication.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electronic/IC Layout CAD or a related program and 10+ years of IC layout experience.
• Experience laying out analog circuitry in size- and time-constrained environments.
• Knowledge of common-centroid layout, matching, isolation, shielding, dummy devices, ESD, latch-up, STI, WPE, electromigration, IR drop, cross-coupling capacitance, DFM, and antenna effects.
• Proficiency in floor planning, block assembly, block-level routing, and LVS troubleshooting.
• Ability to solve design problems using technical skills, intuition, and creativity in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• The role is on-site in Austin, Texas. Access to technical data must not require an export license.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related program.
• Experience with multiple IC design CAD tools and foundry PDKs.
• Ability to improve the efficiency and automation of layout tasks.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal fundamentals.
