TL;DR
Lead Value Engineer (Mining Technology): Quantifying and demonstrating the business value of MineStar mining technologies through operational baselines, simulations, and data-driven business cases with an accent on mine planning, fleet optimization, and customer performance analysis. Focus on evaluating autonomous haulage and digital fleet solutions, presenting value findings to operational and executive stakeholders, and supporting measurable value realization at customer sites.

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; onsite five days a week. Up to 25% travel is required, including customer site visits.

What you will do

  • Lead regional value engineering for new pursuits and existing mining customer sites.
  • Establish operational, production, cost, and performance baselines using customer data.
  • Build simulations and business cases quantifying productivity, cost, safety, and utilization impacts of MineStar technologies.
  • Evaluate haul cycles, fleet sizing, equipment utilization, material movement, and operating constraints.
  • Partner with Commercial, Sales, Customer Value Enablement, and Performance Intelligence teams to shape value propositions and deployment targets.
  • Present value findings to mine operations, mine planning, finance, and executive stakeholders, and support value realization reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in mining operations, mine planning, or operational improvement.
  • Expertise in fleet optimization, performance analysis, and mining technologies such as MineStar, Autonomous Haulage Systems, Fleet Management, Onboard, and Underground solutions.
  • Experience developing business cases, value baselines, benchmarks, or simulations for mining or industrial operations.
  • Proficiency with mine planning, simulation, analytics, Excel modeling, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Customer-facing experience in consulting, commercial pursuits, technical sales, or field support.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or business/finance qualification.
  • Experience with MineStar or similar fleet management, autonomy, or mining technology solutions.
  • Experience working across cultures with remote, site-based, and customer-embedded teams.
